The brand Somonic stands for an innovative process measuring technology in electroplating applications. The process instrument dresor enables an on-line measurement of the coating thickness, depostion rate and current efficiency during the electroplating process.

History

The fondation of the new measuring method were laid at TU Dresden and HTWK Leipzig. The Somonic Solutions GmbH was foundet as a spin-off of the TU Dresden in 2012. From 2013 to 2016, the company introduced the new measurement device for on-line measurement of deposition thickness, deposition rate and current efficiency is introduced into the market. Since mid of 2017, the Somonic-technology is continued by the company Collini.
